C1326: OBD-II code C1326 flags a battery voltage out-of-range fault at the EBCM — either too low or too high for reliable ABS operation.

MediumChassisAnti-Lock Brakes (ABS)

Symptoms

  • ABS and stability control warning lamps illuminate together, often intermittently as voltage fluctuates.
  • The code often sets during cold starts, extended cranking, or after using accessories with the engine off.
  • ABS and stability control are disabled while the code is active; the code may self-clear once voltage returns to normal.

Common causes

  • A weak or aged battery that sags below the EBCM's minimum voltage under cranking or accessory load.
  • A failing alternator producing either too little or too much voltage across the charging system.
  • Corroded battery terminals, loose grounds, or a damaged main power feed to the EBCM adding resistance to the supply path.

What to do?

Load-test the battery and confirm charging output stays between 13.8 and 14.5 V at idle and 2,000 rpm. Measure voltage at the EBCM main power feed. Clean and torque battery terminals and inspect chassis grounds. Replace battery or alternator if out of spec.
