All fault codes

C1274: OBD-II code C1274 flags a fault in the right front TCS prime valve — traction control cannot pre-charge that wheel's brake circuit for a rapid TCS event.

HighChassisAnti-Lock Brakes (ABS)

Symptoms

  • ABS, traction control, and stability control warning lamps illuminate together and stay on continuously after start.
  • Traction control interventions on the right front wheel are unavailable or noticeably slower to engage when the tyre slips.
  • Standard braking and ABS pedal feel are usually unaffected; the fault is specific to traction-control priming.

Common causes

  • An electrically open, shorted, or stuck TCS prime valve solenoid coil inside the BPMV assembly.
  • A failed EBCM internal solenoid driver that cannot properly command the prime valve during a TCS event.
  • Corroded connector pins between the EBCM and the BPMV on assemblies where they are separable components.

What to do?

Command the right front TCS prime valve with a bi-directional scan tool and monitor solenoid current or listen for the audible click. If the valve doesn't operate or draws abnormal current, replace the BPMV/EBCM assembly and reprogram. Inspect any accessible EBCM-BPMV connector for corrosion first.
