B0070: Driver Seatbelt Pretensioner Deployment Control

Symptoms
- SRS airbag warning light illuminated
- Pretensioner system disabled in an accident
Common causes
- Faulty seatbelt pretensioner squib circuit
- Loose or broken wiring connector at the base of the B-pillar or seat
- Corroded connector pins
What to do?
Inspect the wiring harness connecting to the seatbelt pretensioner mechanism (typically located at the base of the B-pillar or attached to the seat buckle). Check for loose connections or corrosion. Replace the pretensioner mechanism if internal resistance is out of spec.
