C1264: OBD-II code C1264 flags an electrical fault in the right front ABS outlet valve solenoid — ABS cannot release brake pressure at that wheel.

HighChassisAnti-Lock Brakes (ABS)

Symptoms

  • ABS, traction control, and stability control warning lamps illuminate together and remain on continuously.
  • ABS interventions are disabled — the brake pedal will not pulse and the right front wheel can lock during hard braking.
  • Standard hydraulic braking works normally; the fault is specific to the modulator's ability to release pressure at that corner.

Common causes

  • An electrically open, shorted, or intermittent outlet valve solenoid coil inside the BPMV assembly for the right front circuit.
  • A failed EBCM internal solenoid driver that no longer energises the outlet valve during ABS activation.
  • Corroded pins inside the EBCM-to-BPMV connector on assemblies where the two components are separable.

What to do?

Command the right front outlet valve with a bi-directional scan tool and observe live solenoid current. If the coil draws no current or excessive current, the valve or the EBCM driver has failed. On integrated EBCM/BPMV assemblies this normally requires full assembly replacement followed by programming; on separable designs, inspect the connector first for corrosion.
