C1760: OBD-II code C1760 flags a fault in the left front ride-height position sensor input — the suspension controller can't measure that corner's height.
MediumChassisAir Suspension
Symptoms
- The 'Service Ride Control' warning is displayed and levelling on the left front corner is disabled.
- The vehicle may sit higher, lower, or crookedly at the left front because the module cannot verify its height.
- Adaptive damping at that corner reverts to a default level while the sensor input is unavailable.
Common causes
- A failed left front ride-height sensor with an open, shorted, or noisy output signal.
- A bent or disconnected sensor linkage that mechanically decouples the sensor arm from the suspension.
- Damaged wiring or a corroded connector between the left front height sensor and the controller.
What to do?
Inspect the sensor arm and its linkage for damage. Read live left-front height data — it should change smoothly when the corner is loaded and unloaded. Verify sensor power, ground, and signal wiring. Replace the sensor and recalibrate ride height as needed.
