C1737: OBD-II code C1737 flags the air-suspension exhaust solenoid circuit shorted to battery voltage — the exhaust valve may open continuously and dump air pressure.

MediumChassisAir Suspension

Symptoms

  • The 'Service Ride Control' warning is displayed and the vehicle may sag as air is bled from the system.
  • The compressor may run more often than usual because air is escaping through a stuck-open exhaust solenoid.
  • Ride height cannot be maintained; the vehicle drops noticeably when parked, especially overnight.

Common causes

  • A chafed exhaust solenoid drive wire touching a battery-voltage source, energising the solenoid continuously.
  • An internally shorted exhaust solenoid coil that pulls the drive line to B+.
  • A failed suspension control module driver stuck on, keeping the exhaust solenoid energised.

What to do?

Disconnect the exhaust solenoid and verify no B+ reaches its drive pin with the connector unplugged. Measure the solenoid coil resistance — most read a few ohms when good. Replace the solenoid or repair the wiring; if wiring is fine and the coil is good, replace the suspension control module.
