B0100: Electronic Frontal Sensor Malfunction

Symptoms

• SRS system light stays illuminated
• Frontal crash deployment algorithms compromised

Common causes

• Faulty front crash sensor mounted on the radiator core support frame
• Corroded front sensor plug due to road salt, water, and debris exposure
• Front-end collision damage straining the sensor assembly

What to do?

Locate the front crash sensor behind the front grille or bumper rail. Carefully inspect the yellow plug for moisture or corrosion. Clean the plug contacts thoroughly. If the code persists after contact cleaning, replace the front-impact sensor unit.
