1. Can I enable VIM for my car?
VIM can only be enabled for vehicles that have the option to watch videos when the car is stopped but can't when it's moving. In this case, our tool will be able to pass this restriction and provide passengers with the ability to bring a new level of entertainment to the cabin with amazing multimedia content.
2. Where is VIM located in the Carista App?
Connect to your car, open the Carista App, select the ''Service'' menu and you will find the Video in Motion tool.
3. Do I need an active subscription?

4. How to find out if my car supports VIM?
**In case you do not have an adapter and you would like to know whether your vehicle supports the VIM tool, you will need to check what version is your iDrive system. You can write an email to our tech support at support@caristaapp.com with the model and the year of your vehicle and they will confirm the availability. Our Video in motion feature is currently available only for CIC infotainment systems.
5. Can I activate video playback with this Service tool?
As already mentioned, video playback is not enabled with Video in Motion as VIM will only break any limitations while the car is in motion. Please, read carefully any instructions and safety implications before unlocking the VIM service tool.
6. How do I reboot my infotainment system manually?
To reboot the BMW iDrive system, please ensure that your vehicle is in the "radio-ready" state (BMW iDrive active) and safely parked, locate the audio operating unit and find the volume control button. Then keep the volume control button on the audio operating unit pressed for at least 30 seconds. During the restart process, certain functions of the BMW iDrive operating system may not be available or only partially accessible.
7. Does VIM work only when my car is in motion?
